About the Institute
The Institute campus is situated at Anu (3km from main bus stand of Hamirpur town) at an altitude of 900 meters. NIT Hamirpur is about 220 km from Chandigarh and is well connected by roads. The nearest railway station is at Una (HP), which is about 85 km from Hamirpur. The nearby airports are at Chandigarh (220 km), Bhuntar (Kullu) (146 km), Shimla (147 km) and Gaggal (Kangra) (87 km). The campus has pleasant lush green pine trees surrounding, facing the snow clad Dhauladhar mountain ranges. Woolen clothes will be required during conference. The famous international tourist place Manali is about 195 km north-east of Hamirpur and is well connected by National Highway (NH-3). The famous Temples Mata Jawalaji, Chintpurni, Brijeshwari, Chamunda Devi, Baba Balaknath Deot sidh and Budhist Monastry at McLeodganj, Dharamshala are few nearby tourist attractions.
